Honorary Card for Imam Masjid Sahib
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved an important and historic initiative aimed at supporting mosque imams across the province. Under this decision, the government has formally introduced the Punjab Chief Minister Honorary Card for Imam Masjid Sahib, marking a new chapter in the financial assistance system for imams.
According to official details, payments under this program will begin from January 1, 2026, ensuring that Imams start receiving support from the very start of the new year. For the first time, pay orders will be issued as part of the implementation process, making it a landmark move in the province’s administrative and welfare structure.
The government has further announced that starting February 1. All payments will be made exclusively through the Punjab Chief Minister Honorary Card for Imam Masjid Sahib. This card will serve as the primary channel for disbursement, guaranteeing a transparent, organised, and efficient system for monthly payments.
