KP Interest-Free Loan Programme
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken a major step to support its public sector workers by launching a new KP Interest-Free Loan Programme for Government Employees. This initiative is designed to help employees manage their financial needs without the burden of interest-based loans. With rising living costs and daily expenses, this scheme comes as a much-needed relief for many.
Purpose of the Interest-Free Loan Scheme
The main goal of this interest-free loan scheme is to ease the financial burden on government employees. Whether it’s meeting essential daily expenses or making big purchases like a vehicle, this scheme aims to provide financial flexibility. By offering loans without any interest, the government is making it easier for employees to stay within their income limits while still achieving important personal or family goals.
Who is Eligible for the Loan?
The scheme covers a wide range of government workers:
- Employees from Grade 1 to Grade 17.
- Officers above Grade 17 are also included.
This inclusive approach ensures that both junior staff and senior officers can benefit from the facility, regardless of their rank.

Loan Amount and Purpose
Under this scheme, eligible employees can apply for interest-free loans ranging from:
- Rs 8,000 to Rs 250,000
These loans are mainly targeted toward improving the travel needs of employees. The funds can be used for:
- Purchasing bicycles
- Buying motorcycles
- Financing cars
This will help government workers overcome transportation issues and reach their workplaces more easily and on time.
Simple and Stress-Free Repayment Plan
One of the most attractive features of this scheme is its easy repayment mechanism. The government has introduced a monthly deduction system, where the loan amount will be gradually recovered from the employee’s salary in small installments.
This step ensures that employees do not feel the pressure of repaying a lump sum amount all at once. It also promotes financial discipline and ease of budgeting.
