In a major step towards building a digitally skilled workforce, the Prime Minister’s Youth Program has launched a new initiative titled the Pak–China Digital Skills Training of Trainers. This program aims to equip young professionals and educators with modern digital skills that are in high demand globally. A Bold Step Under the Digital Pakistan Vision
The inauguration ceremony for the Specialized Digital Skills Training program was held at the headquarters of the National Commission for Vocational and Technical Training (NVTT). Speaking at the event, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, emphasized the importance of preparing the youth for future digital opportunities. He stated that this initiative will empower trainers with world-class digital knowledge, which will then be passed on to thousands of students and freelancers across the country.
Training the Trainers in Modern Digital Fields
In the first phase of the program, 200 trainers will be trained through an online learning platform. These trainers will receive in-depth knowledge and hands-on training in the following key digital areas:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- E-commerce
- Digital Marketing
- Data Analytics
By focusing on these areas, the program aims to create a ripple effect, enabling these trainers to educate a wider network of youth in the future.

The program is being launched in collaboration with international and national partners, including:

According to Chairman Rana Mashhood, this collaboration marks the beginning of a new era of digital skills development in Pakistan. It also reflects a strong commitment to building global-standard educational opportunities through public-private partnerships.
Joint Certification from Renowned Institutions
One of the most attractive features of the program is the joint certification that will be awarded to participants upon successful completion. These certificates will be issued by well-recognized institutions from both Pakistan and China, giving them international credibility and enhancing job prospects for trainers at home and abroad.

In addition to training the trainers, the program will offer access to the “Practice of Skills” platform for Pakistani youth and freelancers. Through this platform:

- The initiative will support digital literacy and freelancing growth in Pakistan.
This digital learning platform is designed to make professional education more inclusive and accessible, especially for youth in remote or underserved areas.
